Selective Criteria

There will be recognition of athletes, coaches, and others who have demonstrated throughout their career in sports those qualities which clearly identify them as champions in their sport(s), professional or amateur.

This recognition shall be permanent and shall be located in a place open to public inspection.

To be eligible to be selected as an inductee into the Limestone County Sports Hall of Fame any candidate must be:

1. Any one of the following:
1. a native of Limestone County; or
2. attended high school in Limestone County; or
3. a resident of Limestone County for a period of time sufficient to be considered a resident, and,
2. Any one of the following:
1. As a player, be retired or out of professional competition for 5 years and 35 years of age or older; or
2. Coached anywhere, be out of active competition, and be 35 years of age or older; or
3. Officiated anywhere, no longer be active as an official, and be 35 years of age or older; or
4. A person, 35 years of age or older, whose contributions to sports in a supporting role, is deemed by the Board of Directors as so significant as to warrant induction into the Limestone County Sports Hall of Fame.
